Thanks to everyone for your cooperation and flexibility as we are all learning new routines for the safe arrival and departure of students at our new school site. Following student and bus arrival on Monday, the whole school gathered in the main foyer for O’Canada, prayer and a few announcements. It is amazing when you can have an assembly with the entire school community in the front foyer. Students expressed how happy they are with the new building and all the space. We are looking forward to sharing our new school site with you on Thursday, January 25th at an informal Open House. Timelines for the Open House are yet to be decided and will be communicated early next week.
Phase 2 of the Construction project is set to begin Monday morning. This phase includes the removal of the portables and demolition of the previous school site. As there will be construction equipment in use, we will be directing all students dropped off at the existing parking lot to walk along the Broom Street sidewalk and around the West side of the school on the sidewalk to the asphalt. Please note that this is a change to the communication that was previously shared. Students will not be given access to walk across the grassy area of the field behind the school. The construction equipment will be too close to this pathway. A staff supervisor will continue to be visible in the existing parking lot during arrival and departure times.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare for the next phase of the project.
