Good morning Celtics,
We continue to be excited to see smiles and energy in the school again. Even though it has been quite some time, your children are quickly adapting to school routines. I am loving this community and witnessing such beautiful examples of the Gospel values of kindness, love and respect which are core to our Catholic Education. Thank you for helping make all of our first weeks back to school amazing!
Each classroom teacher will be/has created a learning management system for communicating with families. An LMS is either a google classroom or D2L learning platform. Next week, families will be invited to log in to navigate the classrooms and see what your child(ren) will be learning this term.
Kindly note in the morning our supervisors are on the yard from 8:20- 8:35am. If your child arrives after that time, please have him/her come to the front doors of the school and we will send him/her off to class from there.
Students may arrive to the school no earlier than 8:20am. Kindergarteners will also be welcomed at 8:20am in the kindergarten gate as that is the time supervisors are on the yard and when the school aged children from the extended day program are transitioning to the back. Thank you!
We continued to see growth in our student population at the school start up and as previously communicated, class lists are always tentative to start the year. Luckily, this week we were notified once again that we are not required to reorganize our classrooms.
Important Reminder: If your address, phone number or email has changed, please contact the school by phone or email to update your contact information. It is important for your child’s safety that we have the correct contact information.
There are many mandatory school start-up forms posted in School Cash Online for you to complete for EACH child. There are several documents that require the input of information and there are a couple of read-only documents. Thank you to all families who have already completed the forms online. If you are NOT registered for School Cash Online please sign up NOW!
St. Brigid Catholic School Advisory Council initial meeting of the 2021/2022 year will be held virtually this week on Tuesday, September 21st at 6:00 pm. The agenda will be sent to all parents who filled out the form expressing their interest to be a regularly participating member of the advisory council. Thank you for volunteering!
Terry Fox Run:
This is the 23rd year that St. Brigid has participated in fundraising in support of cancer research.
The date of our Walk/Run this year is September 29th. ( Rain date: Sept. 30th or 31st depending on the weather. ) We will adjust our walk to observe COVID protocols. Please make sure you have signed your child’s walking permission form on schoolcash online!
