On behalf of St. Brigid School and in partnership with St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education, we wish to inform you of an opportunity to support your child outside of regular instructional hours.
Now that your child is at the Intermediate Grade level, there are opportunities to further your child’s study and organization skills, as well as help them improve their mathematics and literacy skills. The transition from Junior to Intermediate and Intermediate to Secondary School can be challenging, especially for those students that feel less confident in their abilities or understanding.
To help our students work on skills in a quiet environment, we are offering a Homework Club at St. Brigid School every Wednesday from 3:05 pm to 4:05 pm that your child can participate in. Our Homework Club will take place in Mrs. Kapelke’s classroom (Rm 113). Students will have computer access for assignments during this time. Students who choose to participate are not required to come every time, however, they are encouraged to build a routine.
If you would like to have your child participate and they ride the bus home from school, you will need to arrange to have them picked up at school on homework club days at 4:05 pm.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Kapelke. Our first Homework Club session begins Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
